With Halloween coming up at the end of October, it is never too early to start getting in the Halloween spirit!!! (Although maybe it is still too early to watch scary movies… But then again, it is always too early to watch scary movies)…

The cool autumn weather is very inspiring to me when I crochet. Something about snuggling under a soft cozy blanket in my comfy armchair while all around it is cold is just the perfect time in the world to be crocheting. And so, I have been making rapid progress on crocheting a pumpkin for my sister as a center-piece for a table.

The current progress on the crocheted pumpkin.

Although it doesn’t look anything remotely like a pumpkin at this point, I assure you that this flat square will turn into a large plump pumpkin in time for Halloween. How am I going to turn this flat square into a round object? Well, I guess you will have to wait and see.

Before I convert this large rectangle into a round pumpkin however, I plan on embroidering a design on the pumpkin to make it look more like it was woven. This will take awhile but in the end, the results will be worth it!

Stay tuned for another Autumn update to the pumpkin coming soon and see you then!!!
